Leadership & Experience
Bruce A. Gay is the President and Founder of Monticello Consulting Group, a premier consultancy specializing in Accounts Receivable Management (ARM) for the utility industry. For more than two decades, he has been at the forefront of shaping industry best practices, driving innovation, and delivering measurable results for utilities across North America.
Before founding Monticello in 2002, Bruce built his expertise within the utility sector, where he directed the design and execution of transformative credit, collections, and debt recovery programs. His strategic leadership and commitment to excellence have earned him recognition as an industry trailblazer.
In addition to his consulting practice, Bruce established Conferences by Monticello, a specialized event and training company dedicated to advancing professional education, peer exchange, and innovation in the utility industry. In 2023, he expanded Monticello’s offerings by introducing instructor-led training programs, further strengthening the company’s role as a leader in professional development for utility professionals.
An accomplished author and speaker, Bruce has published widely and presented at leading industry conferences in the United States, Canada, and Europe. His thought leadership has guided executives, policymakers, and service providers in navigating the complex challenges of credit and collections.
Bruce holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (magna cum laude) with a concentration in Economics from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
